Lyle Reedy

These pictures were taken at the Sept 22nd Molasses-Making Festival in Brevard, NC put on by fiddle-maker Lyle Reedy. The two fiddlers playing Soldiers Joy in the picture are Lyle and Larry (of the 2nd-Friday-night Hiram Gospel Jam) playing the 25th and 24th fiddles Lyle has made. (Before leaving the festival, Larry bought fiddle #24.)

If you are around Brevard some Tuesday night, drop in on the old-time jam session at Lo & Mary Gordon's Celestial Music store. You might catch both the well-known banjo maker/player Lo and fiddle-maker/player Lyle, as well as Mary and the others, playing the old tunes.
